The WalkmanOne version I have installed on my NW-ZX300 WalkmanOne that reset the playtime counter was Walkman_One_ZX300_(01.10). I down loaded it from MrWalkman's webpage a couple of days ago.
That’s the one I have as well

I see in the CFW\External_Tunings folder there are 03 folders containing installation files for external_tuning
Bright_external_tuning
Neutral_&_Warm_external_tuning
WM1Z_external_tuning

But in the settings.txt file, in the SOUND SIGNATURE section, there are 04 options:
# Available options are:
# 0 for Neutral - between Warm (Midnight) and Bright (Dawn)
# 1 for Warm - Midnight v2
# 2 for Bright - Dawn v2.1
# 3 for WM1Z - the WM1Z stock sound signature

Can you guys explain which files to install in which External_Tunings folder correspond to which SIG?
Ex:
SIG = 0 : Neutral_&_Warm_external_tuning
SIG = 1 : ?
SIG = 2 : Bright_external_tuning
SIG = 3 : WM1Z_external_tuning

Thanks guys

Every time I boot my 1Z with Walkman One FW, it scans and creates a new database. Every. Time. I am aware this is standard anytime it is unplugged from a PC, but it's literally every time I boot. Is this normal?

The only time I ever boot my 1A or 1Z is if I change Walkman One settings. Otherwise I never turn them off. In sleep mode they barely drain the battery. The last time I didn't boot after it started sleeping it lasted over a week before the battery died.

This is a viable option and I do appreciate the feedback. I'd still really like to know if what I'm experiencing is 'normal' or not. I mean it only takes an additional 20 seconds to generate on boot, I'm just wondering if something is corrupt.

Yup. Mine rebuilds the database every boot. Normal procedure as far as I can tell

The database rebuild is normal on boot. Sony does this to play it safe and rebuild the database incase the SD-Card or internal disk has changed.

The database rebuilds on every boot. Totally normal behaviour and regardless of stock or custom firmware. Takes only about 20 secs max for me each time.

thanx guys , last night i found the bright tuning to sound a tad unnatural to these ears , switched to wm1z and mx3 this morning see if this is 'better'
I recommend you Neutral tuning with region J. It is the better sound for my taste, a bit relaxed, but if you have a Sony DAP, that is what you are looking for.

I have a simple question regarding my NW-45.
I have installed the Unofficial Stock Firmware Update(NW-A50 stock firmware for NW-A40).
What do I have to do now if I want to install the Walkman One custom firmware? Thank you.

You have to apply the corresponding stock revert package first. Link to it can be found on MrWalkman's homepage. When it is done, you can install WalkmanOne custom FW.
