Yes, I think that only for the WM1A/WM1Z (and maybe ZX300?) the line out pin is not connected to the board or something, to further decrease possible interferences.
A WM-Port to 3.5mm also works for the A45, which is nice.

Can anyone state their hours on their DAP after the mod install after charging up to 90% and playing a few hours of the last bar when using the DMP-M2?
MK2 sounds very good indeed, very 3 D but I somehow still prefer the tonality of MK1 on my 1Z(U region)? Could the mids actually be thinner on MK2, at least that is how I seem to perceive it.
Interesting. I tried it on my 1Z and ZX2 when I had that and there is no analog out on those so I assumed it was the same on the A series but I no longer have the WMport to 3.5 adaptor to try on the A55
Have you tried the firmwares?
I'm open to the concept of placebo effects with this audio hobby but when you know your gear and you know your music you should be able to at least tell there has been a change in the sound with these firmwares, whether for better or worse.
I am lazy to compare the new firmware with the previous versions but during the revert to stock process I listen to the stock firmware for a couple of tracks before installing the new one and can tell there is definitely a better presentation of the sound to my ears.
A/B testing may work for some but I feel when listening for long periods of time, ie until the new firmware comes out it gives time for you to truly familiarise yourself with the sound, then any change becomes more obvious.
I don't understand measurements, but regardless feel that the human ear/brain can perceive much more than a measurement device can.
I do not know if it is placebo, but to my ears the A50R sounds much better than the normal 55. Only downside, battery drains faster.
I recently bought these fenomenal Denon Ah-D7200 and the little player with MrWalksman’s firmware drives them wonderfully.
I must say that I have been now playing four hours and the battery indicator does not seem to move. I usually recharge when I see it like this and cannot really say to what extent the battery is really draining or if the battery level indicator is less precise
