So you don't trust your ears.
Okay, that answers it.
Thank you.
Oh well to each their own. To me the ultimate pupose is if I like how something sounds and it brings me pleasure. I don’t much care about the science and tech (or lack of either), if it sounds good I’m good.

Ditto. That’s been my practise since I started my love for audio more than 3 decades ago. I don’t care about charts or any sciences involved. They’re all a load of bull, to me! I trust only my ears and the goosebumps I get from good sound. That’s all there is to it.

The code, only the code. Ears are unreliable. Technologies that are described with buzzwords without code available (like aptx/ldac) should be used with a grain of salt. Audio tech is not a religion based on spiritual experience, its output can be measured and compared (like here); code can be reverse engineered (like I did).

Anyway, I still need info to take a better look at database scan issues.
I have a son disk extreme pro to terabyte micro card with something about 72,208 trucks; for me it takes the initial database scan when revealing the library 20 to 25 minutes a subsequent scan after these basically or the card is inserted it takes about 2 to 4 minutes and if I add songs new songs to the player, it takes also about 2 to 4 minutes, which, for some reason on Mr. Wildman over it stays on doing nothing when I do database revealed and I must connected to the computer and reboot the player while connected to the computer and then disconnect in order these other ways built up process to continue

Mr. Wildman
That's wild

Will do it tomorrow.
There is no need to, did it myself by generating 10k songs and reproducing the issue.

Startup scan time depends on directory layout and amount of files (any kind, not just music) in storage (not just MUSIC dir, root directory also counts).

Tests were performed on internal storage, SD card was inserted but no data on it was changed.

10k songs in single directory: 1 minute 56 seconds.
10k songs in root directory (not \MUSIC): 1 minute 54 seconds.
10k songs spread through 1000 directories (10 songs per each imitating albums): 25 seconds.
2.5k songs spread through many directories (my real library): 10 seconds.

Conclusion: you have to organize your music to reduce startup scan time.

Please report your startup scan time, library size and if your library is structured to confirm my experiments.

Your answer is incomplete and based on personal experience. I believe that long database scan speed is caused by software error on some devices (mine is not affected). To prove it I need the information I requested in my post.

There is no such region, only two regions matter: CEW2 and KR3. Region chart is a product of imagination.

Consult https://github.com/unknown321/wampy/blob/master/VOLUME_TABLES.md for general overview and https://github.com/unknown321/wampy/blob/master/MAKING_OF_VOLUME_TABLES.md for more technical details.
interesting, care to elaborate on more laymen terms?
