Is the alt DAC only like an on/off option? Or does the S-master has DAC filters like AKM?

It seems to simply be 2 different ways to initiate the dac. As I understand it there are no dac filters

Hello, it's exactly how it says in my post:
"Unfortunately, I don't just have the fix on hand, I have to work on it, and I'll PM you."

I need to dig out some old SSD, connect it externally to my laptop, etc. I can't promise that it will be anytime soon.

There isn't a magic key combination unfortunately, you need to reflash the OS again.

How did you manage to get it to bootloop?
@Mr.Walkman Any Updates for me?😢😢🥲🥲

No man, as I said before, I have to dig up some SSD, connect it to my laptop (with some adapter which I have no idea where it is), the laptop is not the same as the computer which I've worked back then, meaning that there's nothing installed anymore that I used before.

I can't make any promises.

I have no idea why someone would go and reset the player in the first place. I'll put a warning... on the website, sometimes soon.

It has been mentioned several times in this thread not to do a factory reset on anything other than the stock fw.

Also you have mentioned many times that using your fw is our own responsibility and that you are not responsible for anything bad that might happen.

I do not recall that statement, so thanks for the reminder. I have never done a factory reset with the M1. And I wouldn't have anything other than Mr. Walkman's FW on that machine.
Did need to do a reset with the M2 after going too far with "de-bloating".

If you are talking about the Android base WM1AM2 than this firmware isn't for that device and there will never be any customization as it's locked by Sony and Google.

The new Android based players that replaced the SonyOS players a few years ago
I know that, that is why I posted that to LanceSaintPaul when he posted "Did need to do a reset with the M2 after going too far with "de-bloating"."

It's a good reminder about not resetting on custom firmware. Yes it's stated, but easy to forget. There'd rarely be a reason to reset, but if you were selling or buying with custom installed (as I've often seen) it could be easy to do before sending or upon receiving.
