Haaa 😄 everyone now has a modded 1z lol its the new best trend among luxurious 1z owners 😍😛
You had the 1Z before. I remember that. So you had a good amount of luxury before :)

You can just go ahead and install this new one. It will overwrite anything that's already installed.

Bass slams really good/deep and precise, while the soundstage is more holographic rather than wide, but it can also be really wide if the song calls it. Detail retrieval is also better in my opinion.

His descriptions are matching what I'm hearing on my WM1A, at least in my opinion.

Dude, comparing the 1A with the WM1A/Z++ vs the 1Z with the DMP-Z1, there is a big difference in volume! All the instruments and everything just come forward at you! My ears finally can hear a big difference! Madre de Dios!!! Woohoo!!

@MrWalkman I can't seem to apply the tuning file. There's always this message box saying "connect your device to USB". I plugged and unplugged but the message keeps popping up.
Something similar like that happened to me, and it was because of my hybrid tablet/laptop OS using a different driver for the Sony.
Maybe this is similar issue so you may have to PM him.

Gonna see what IEMs to get for my DAPs for on the go. I’m looking into the XBA-Z5 and IER-M7. Gonna see how they sound with this new wonderful sound and possibly check into the XBA-N3BP. Gotta Support Sony for these wonderful DAPs which is why I want one more 1Z or 1A, despite hearing another a potential successor in the future

I installed it. Firstly I did the back to stock.

Then I installed DMP-Z1 (1.0) a d went to a error (in windows) saying the device does not respond. With a finish button. I didn't click ad the walkman continued updating by it self. After WM1A rebooted, i installed the tuning file as described which installed really quick. Is that normal?

I put it back to stock off their site FM and reinstalled it and that’s how it worked. But it works! :)

Yes the tuning file is a quick halfway on the progress bar but it should give you a confirmation at the end. It’s all good.
