Ordered the balanced MDR1APB from AJ and if B&H photo doesn't have the silver zx300 tomorrow I will probably order the case and now black zx300 from AJ And just wait. Might buy another balanced cable too.

I am thinking of this mdr1apb or wh1000mx2 adding balanced cable. What are the cons of mdr1apb pls?

1. both mdr1a and 1000xm2 use the same driver so they pretty much sound the same
2. the 1000xm2 isnt balanced compatible

I forgot to ask, lol. But I would have bought it anyway. Even if it has a backplate, I think I'd still like the black version with a backplate more than a supposed silver version without one =)

Thats why I ordered from amazon jp, the Japanese version has no plate on it.

I never really found the ak70 balanced to be that much better than the SE I hope this is different. I don't really have much hope for the zx300 SE as some Japanese folks said it was like a35

The SE of ZX300 isn't bad
I'm sure A35 don't have that much power and sound stage
Still 4.4 balance will get you the best experience

One reviewer (forgot which site) mentioned that the A40 (which is probably almost same sq as A35) feels like you can hear the effects of the body more on the sound, whereas the rigid strong body of the ZX300 really affects the sound in a positive way: much more stabile sound .

ha ha I quite like the nwa35 sound, just a weaker output. I am pretty excited about the mdr1a balanced as even the regular mdr1a is 250 dollars here and I've always wanted to hear one.
