Forgive me if I missed it. But the past week or so I've been reading through quite a bit of this thread for tips and such. So I had to sign up to ask a question.
Does the total time played on the unit get reset if the unit itself is reset?
I stopped in E- Earphone and picked up a used ZX300. It was in immaculate shape and only appeared to have 35 minutes of play time on it.
So I wanted to test the battery and so far it works well. I ordered a pair of cheap KZ iems and a balanced cable off of amazon.co.jp to also test the balanced jack.
So just wondering if there is anything else I should test. But mainly wondering if when units rest does the played time get reset.
Ah, which is what I figured is definitely what e-earphone does to devices before selling them. Or maybe previous owner did it. I thought the hours were abnormally low.
I was concerned about battery life buying a used unit. I've got a return warranty if it has issues, but I'm going back to America on June 5th so just trying to put it through the paces. Before I head home and swap it to USA and English.

For me, the best sounding setting is the default configuration (no sound manipulation, no effects).
This is always true if you listen to Hi-Res files and DSD, where the ZX300 gives the best results in balanced mode. Sometimes with MP3 files you can feel the difference applying some effects.

Yea I had seen that earlier in the thread. I don't think I'll use it too often as a DAC but maybe later. I'm mostly interested in using as a player when im travelling. Since my new phone doesn't have a headphone jack. I'm not 100% sold on my Pixel 3 part of me still wants to go back to me old Sony haha.
It's very subtle... It depends.. I like having it on but i can't really describe the differences between having it on and off.. Like i said its very subtle.
