I took delivery of this baby on November 26 2018. I’ve put 609 hours on it since then. That’s an average of over 8 hours a day. I’m quite proud of this What is you guys usage like?

ZX300 23hr Battey Life.jpg
Yes i think it was a defective battery i did use the battery 90% saver but still it wasnt the performance i was expecting battery wise.
Sound was excellent on 4.4 and 3.5.
Currently using an M6 for daily and M5s both of which have excellent battery life thus far. And very good sound.

The nail in coffin for zx300 was the last test hi gain off dsp on screen off vol 85-90 barely got 6 hours mix of flac mp3 and dsd.

Wow! 600+ hours! I bet sound quality is superb after completing 200-hour audio burn-in...

BTW I just got mine 16 days ago from CNY promo sale where price dropped by ~USD150. Have been enjoying sound quality but was bit concerned about battery life - so far only 11.5 hours per charge at best, average 10 hours. Recharged it 7 times already (from zero to 90% battery-save max). So far only 80+ hours of playback.

So now still doing an experiment, testing battery (since yesterday), playing just mp3 files on a non-stop marathon with Direct Source on (i.e no EQ, DSEE-HX, whatever), 75/120 volume level on 4.4mm balanced cable (connected to MDR-1AM2 headphones). According to Sony's manual, battery should last 25 hours playing 128kbps mp3 on 4.4mm jack - now I'm 22 hr 04 min, still 26 minutes more to go to reach 22.5 hours (= 90% x 25 hours) prescribed in the manual. Or else, I will feel slightly "cheated". BTW after almost 1 whole day running, the unit doesn't even feel warm...

But talk about the sound quality, even though without using DSD or DC phase linearizer, vinyl processor, etc switched on, it still sounds damn good!

Never regret buying this baby! Can't wait to reach that 200 hours audio burn-in target...

P/S: Battery actually lasted almost 23 hours (see pic)...

I just got a cheap silicone one on Amazon that came with a screen protector. Then I bought the silicone dust caps and that's that. The case came about a day late though as I dropped my big ass vape right on my ZX and put a nice nick in it the day before the case arrived haha.

Yeah I tried BT streaming for the first time just this past week and I was quite surprised. I streamed Tidal from my XDP-300R to the ZX300. So this wasn't using LDAC or anything I don't think, since the Pioneer doesn't support it. But yeah BT has come a long way.

I'm not sure if my Huawei P10 has LDAC, but it was using LDAC, it was on the ZX300 screen.

If it has Bluetooth 5.0 and Android Oreo 8 it supports LDAC...
I don't remember what BT, but it's Android 8.0 and it's a two and half year old phone.

Actually, BT 5.0 is not a requirement for LDAC as 4.2 has a data rate of 1 Mbps which is sufficient for LDAC and that's why the p10 supports LDAC even though it doesn't have BT 5.0.
