Is there was a way to either access artist or album from the now playing screen without going back to the main screen?

Only ways I know do involve passing through main screen... one is tapping the requisite number of times on the "back" icon (first icon on the bottom left of the screen), which is definitely sort of slow, especially if you're deep down a path of directories or artist/album, OR hitting directly the 3rd icon on the bottom, which takes you directly to the main screen.... which means you're a tap away from choosing artist/album.

Wait, can't you just swipe down from the Now Playing screen?

Correct, you can also do that... somehow, for me, I find it easier to tap on the 3rd icon, but for others swiping down might be better. I think, for me, I find it a bit harder just because I usually forget which direction to swipe to :) , as other directions have different effects (so, if/when I get it wrong, it becomes slower than just tapping on 3rd icon, and so I just don't think of it - but others with better memory should do very well with just swiping :) )

I think he wants directly to show the list of Artists or Albums (just like the UI when I am in Groove Music). But no, I have not seen that either. Yes you can tap the Main Menu icon (the one right next after the Now Playing icon). That's actually the fastest way if you are on the the Sound Settings or general Settings Menu.

What would be cool is tapping on the artist on the Now Playing screen would take you to the artist and tapping on the album to the full album.

Now, isn't that what you expect from a mobile OS? But usually DAP makers don't concentrate much on the UI, but on the build of the sound quality. But yes, I do agree here, if we could get this, that would be cool too! But I think that still seems impossible at the moment. The way it's OS is designed, it still feels like Symbian style. So may be they need to reboot the whole codes to make the OS full like smart phones these days.

But they did listened to us. I see on firmware 1.0 there was no 'add to now playing' option. But here in this thread many commented for this feature add. So may be on other forums besides head-fi as well. So, they did added these features on firmware 1.10. So they might consider next. It may not be on ZX-300, may be on their future smart DAPs...

I can say the d2000 sound good with the zx300 balanced but ya gotta crank the volume. They're efficient but somehow live power. Sound better from a full sized amp. I believe the 7200 was supposed to be more efficient than its older siblings correct? Just make sure you run them balanced

I am used to listening to speakers and tube amp. impressed with the nx300 and mdr-1am2 demo at the hong kong audio show so I bought a set just past weekend. Havent really bought Sony products for years since the PS3. And Sony headphones, not since the casette walkman era (if you are old enough to understand)

Can any member comment if the Sony-Kimber balanced cable S12SB1 is worth the money? Which aspects does it improve? Soundstage, mids, highs, or bass?

Whats the best songs, volume, to burn in the NX300? Do the headphones need burn in too?

I have read that the nx300 will improve upon 200 hrs of playing. Holdinng my fingers cross

This is my first post to this forum so I would like to say hello to everyone and happy listening.

No go. The denons need way more power, will be bass deficient.had them and sold them as they just weren't my sound signature. They need more power than the zx300 in balanced can put out. If you use an additional amp on top of the zx300 like the mojo or idsd black then it's a good match .hope that helps .
