Thanks. Code worked and reduced price to £386.94 (£430 otherwise). I've ordered a set to try as they have a 30 day return policy. I don't normally get on with headphones and prefer IEM's but have read good things about the HD 600/HD650. I did try some HD800 in an audio shop but honestly preferred my SE846's.

Are HD650 considered better sounding than HD600?

I personally like the HD 600 better myself but both are nice with enough power. The 600 to me sound a little more bright than the smooth 650's. If you didn't like the 800's though you probably won't like the 600 series. Not to be dumb but are these 4.4 balanced? because you can get 6xx from mass drop very cheap and they are pretty much the 650 maybe less warm. Oh forget the query I see they are the 660 balanced. I will be interested in what you think. I always think the senn 600 series isn't as clear as I like.

I have to try se846 sometime, I'm weird with fit though on iems, most hurt my ears.

Just ordered them since there is a lack of choice on 4.4mm ready Headphones ... :frowning2: (..and am really not a Sennheiser fan...Hope they sound decent). For anyone interested in the HD 660 S, I purchased directly from their web shop and if you hit back or end purchase (do not complete order) you get a Voucher asking you to complete purchase... 10% off, so 449 Euros is what I paid (just do the purchase process again with voucher code...
It are always the indecisive customers who get rewarded

Initial review says HD660S takes the best bits of 600/650 and the 700/800 so worth a try with 30 day return policy. Whole new driver apparently.

Didn't have long enough to test the HD800 but knew it wasn't going to make me spend £1,000. At £380 it's worth having an extended test of these new ones plus only 150ohm not 300ohm so easier to drive. A total impulse buy :)

Anybody having experience with this balanced cables, differences please?
MUC-M12NB1 and MUC-M12SB1? Thanks.

I just got the 2nd (Kimber) one and posted my feedback above. Some say they prefer the 1st (cheaper) one. Also posted photo with it connected to my SE846/ZX300 further back.

They cant, Sony gives them the chance to buy stock. I asked them before and he told me that Sony is so unpredictable with timings and stuff and they just get a date. Tho it will be no longer than a week for me and everyone else who ordered with express

AJ are grey market imports... Doesn't that mean they wouldn't deal with Sony directly? I'm assuming this is why it takes longer. Also just a warning to people purchasing from grey markets will not get official Sony warranty cover.

I'm sure the 660 will make you a Sennheiser fan! I'm thinking I might sell my 650 to get these. Just be aware these are fully open headphones.

Mine was a semi frustration-impulse purchase... nothing to test in the shops on 4.4mm except Sony (yuck :) ). ... I really hate returning stuff so hopefully it will be all good!

Pls point me to page number, cant find it. Thanks for response.

Just testing adapter for my cheap Fiio balanced. Cable cost me under £30 early in year and adapter just cost me £8.50.

Initial short impression on SQ is it's balanced that make the difference not so much cable quality so if money a concern go for the cheaper Sony one.

Not practical in pocket/outside using the Fiio with an adapter as photo shows.

Sony far higher quality build and comfort.

Another code in case someone was lurking and picked them up before you: VE1N2221LZJ
... and no, I don’t work for Sennheiser.

Just placed the order! A good saving, thanks again. I have fond memories of using the HD25 II many years ago and their cx300 served me well at the time. Looking forward to getting back in bed with Sennheiser and pairing it up to the zx300.
