I was tempted by expedited shipping, but then I figured there really is no rush so i just got the free shipping, which is nice enough. I'll just need to learn to be patient, some self-refrain lol

Yes I don't even know how fast the 'regular' shipping is. But it was 26$ more for expedited so that didn't seem too bad. I never ordered from them but they seem very legit. I wonder who will get theirs first ha ha, could be you- you're closer. Yes self refrain, I need to try that sometime :)

So far most reports are very positive.

Expedited shipping for me was priced at 42 usd. Perhaps due to more stops in-between? If it were 26 usd like yours, I would've picked it I think. Normally, you should get yours faster

1. both mdr1a and 1000xm2 use the same driver so they pretty much sound the same
2. the 1000xm2 isnt balanced compatible
They aren't the same at all, try listening to music on the wh-1000XM2 without turning them on, it'll sound like crap, they literally need that extra post processing to sound any good, unlike some other bluetooth headphones like the Sennheiser Momentum M2 wireless.

I never said they will sound the same, but using the 1000x powered or the mdr 1a is pretty close. Also as said they use the same driver so it's expected that they sound close too each other.

This is the response I got from AJ regarding the back plate on the AP model.

Thank you very much for your inquiry.

Since we have yet received the actual product, we do not know the
detail. But the images are from Sony Hong Kong, so it should be the same
as shown.

Regards,
Johnny

Good news. I managed to cancel my Japanese import ZX300 and therefore safe to take delivery of the discounted Amazon UK silver version. The £473 price means for the original budget of £600 I can afford a case and 200gb SD card. Happy days. :)

I am pretty sure that it will have a backplate, when the A30 released the renders sony had on their site and the demo units didnt have anything besides the NFC logo on them, but all the normal models had it.

I went to Amazon.co.uk and only saw the NW-ZX300 for £600 there. I am not sure where that £473 price comes from.

Probably some mistake on Amazon's part then as that's almost as cheap as the Japanese price without tax.
Gotta love mistakes. I once picked up the audio technica ath-AD1000X headphones for about 300 euros, which are normally priced at about 600-700 euros.
One small typing error in filling in all the fields before posting a new product, can do a lot of good for perceptive consumers :)

UK amazon prices go up and down, and sometimes the prices isn't what you expected.

This is normal price for the Australian version (64GB) so I guess we're lucky in this case, but I'll still most likely go for the 300A version since I'm cheap.

Sony products (sometimes) seem to be cheaper here, but only certain products... WM1A is a couple hundred dollars cheaper here than US but then WM1Z was a couple hundred more expensive. Go figure?

Mine. Bit of a wait for delivery but case from Japan & other bits will take 2-3 week anyway so not in a rush.
