thinking of buying a cable from a lotoo user , but not sure if zx2/lotoo  use the same zx2 grounding order

No. LOOTOO uses AK style 2.5mm TRRS.

+1 mate, purely subjective at this level of quality sound reproduction.

I dont think there IS anything better than this. I havent heard many but Im hearing unrivaled detail when listening to high res tracks on zx2. just crisp crystal clarity.

If you haven't heard many DAPs how can you know there is nothing like this? I can assure you the ZX2 is not the best technically performing DAP out there. It is a wonderful design with amazing tonality, but it is not the last word in clarity or detail. Ultimately what we prefer is subjective, and there is no right and wrong, just our preference. As well, the notion that high resolution contains any extra useful, and audible detail is actually not at all an established fact, it is hotly contested by both science, and subjective listeners. I am not saying I know one way or the other, but you should take some time and do some research on the subject. No matter what you end up deciding, it is great to hear both sides of the discussion/debate.

I'm sure there are! Thats what keeps the competition alive and lets sony deliver a product like this. What I meant was that zx2 can be the end game for listeners who like me havent heard many and want to make a one time investment on a player; they will certainly be blown away by what zx2 brings to the table. Regarding high res, yes ive heard the debate. but I couldnt believe my ears when I heard the difference for the first time. It's certainly there. Even from 16/44 to a 24/96 flac I can truly tell with the zx2; it does such a great job with the latter. You cant really go wrong with this device.

I mostly agree with you mate, unless you need to drive less efficient headphones, and or like louder music playback. That is the only thing that ever stopped me from getting the ZX2. Now I know for many people that isn't an issue at all and experienced users that I trust really love the ZX2 so I have no doubt that as a sound signature it is amazing.

Yes, both hi-fi man and Sony share the terminals wiring on TRRS connection
