Hi damex

Would be very liberating to be able to dump EU volume cap.

Good luck with venture.

I wait with hopeful expectation.

can someone please with eu unit enable adb/usb debug (pushing 7+ times version number at 'about device', then go to developer options in the settings and enable usb debug), connect it to pc, do 'adb pull /system/build.prop' and share that file?

need to install adb. there is a few ways. brew or official google binaries. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917237 for example like that.

you need to open terminal (somewhere inside applications) and write

adb pull /system/build.prop

to pull build.prop file from your android device.

or maybe it is easier to copy  /system/build.prop using your favorite android file manager somewhere to sdcard and then copy it to pc using mtp connection.

is someone here interested in removing eu volume limit? maybe updating to 1.01 firmware?
i have complete cwm flashable 1.01 firmware from japanese unit and trying to bypass android security to to flash custom recovery (if it will success - i will port twrp or cwm to our device).

Would you share the full flashable firmware ? Thanks
If there's full flashable firmware, isn't that means that someone already success installing cwm/twrp on his/her zx2 ?

Due to fear of 'bricking' my device I will leave well alone for now.

Would be nice to decide myself what volume to use rather than some committee in Strasbourg.

I agree, considering how much harm people do to themselves with alcohol I find it odd the EU allows so much drinking and unhealthy food but somehow identifies this as an issue. I think it is just something they could control and achieve because the industry has little clout to fight back whereas say alcohol and food industries are massive and powerful. Complete rubbish if you ask me.

Hey everyone, just thought I would finally post here on head-fi. Just finished reading all 11,459 posts in this thread. Took me about 3 weeks but I did it. Purchased my Japanese version a few weeks ago and have been using all the valuable information here to get the most out of my device. I've disabled the sound enhancement app and use the stock music player (as it's the sound I prefer most). Also waiting for my silver dragon v1 cable with TRRS connector to pair with my se846 IEMs. Ordered yesterday, not sure how long it will take to reach me. Hopefully not too long as I am not a patient man :)

I've probably got about 50-60 hours of use on it so far. Guess that means I've got another 100 hours, or so, to go until I'm properly burned in. From what I've heard so far, I cannot wait to get to that point and discover what this DAP is truly capable of.

Keep up the good work guys and thanks for all your help!
