Does anyone here use EQ, what is your favorite set-up?

Love the eq, it works very well, the last band called clear bass, for the low end bass, offers some fantastic bass boost up at around 4 to 5. No distortion that I can hear and simply tight and full, it really is a good bass boost.
The rest of the eq is quality as well, for the p7 I leave it on:

Clear bass@ 5

400hz@ +2
1k @ 0
2.5k @ -2
6k @ 0
16 @ 0

I never use EQ. If the music or player is off, I don't use them. I like my signal unhampered and if EQ is needed all the time for monitors etc., then I move on. I find that with decent to good music the ZX2 does many right things for the sound.

If someone in the USA is looking for a ZX2, I have one in Mint condition purchased from Crutchfield. I am probably going to keep my AK240 as I don't think I would be able to get enough back selling the AK240 and I prefer the AK240 sound better. . If you are interested PM me. I at least need to get my cost + tax & shipping back as I can get a full refund from Crutchfield. Just trying to help someone out as I think these are still sold out everywhere in the USA.

I think your best bet is to get a refund, at least you don't need to wait, I don't think anyone is going to pay full price for a used unit.

Yeah I know, I was just throwing it out there, because I know people are trying to find them and this one will have a USA warranty. The unit hasn't even left my desk...Just been burning it in with some Angie's for the last week on and off...

Rochlin: Since European versions of the NW-ZX1 have an output volume cap (reduced maximum volume output), will the European version of the NW-ZX2 have the same volume output limitations.

Yoshioka: Different countries have different laws, so Sony uses a different volume table. If users do not want the volume output capped they should seek out version from other countries.

Volume cap for European: Yes :/ I'm so sad! Need to break the volume restriction!!

There are multiple ways to sharing files on a network. DLNA is a common standard used by a lot of different devices. In order for a renderer (the ZX2) to access music files on your Windows 8 computer, you need to run the built-in DLNA server on it by enabling the standard file sharing. Try these instructions: http://goo.gl/hAp9K

Alternatively, you can just run 3rd party DLNA server software on your Windows 8 machine like Plex (http://goo.gl/V0uqF6) or Twonky (http://goo.gl/KCTMFH). I have a bunch of Logitech Squeezeboxes and a Transporter on my home network, so I use Logitech Media Server.

I've had my ZX2 for a few weeks and really like it. I'm moving beyond basic functionality now and I also trying to make DLNA work for me. I'm using a Mac and downloaded Plex to make the Mac (as I understand it) serve as a file server to the ZX2. Plex ingested my music library, and I was able to see the library and all the metadata on the ZX2. However, when I select any song, I see an exclamation point next to the album artwork and "this device cannot support this content" is displayed at the bottom of the screen. My music library is mostly in AIFF with some as DSD. Sony support (who is generally useless with these types of questions) said it might be Plex. Anyone have any thoughts? If it is Plex, are there good alternatives?
