What is the problem you had with the screen?

I bought one from a seller on eBay. My problem is that sometimes the buttons on the touchscreen get pressed by themselves, even if I'm not pressing them.

It doesn't always happen, but seems to happen most often after I connect the device to a PC, my car's USB port, or my car's audio port. I've tried rebooting several times, as well as "reset all settings".

When this happens, menu items on the touch screen will press themselves. Usually it wants to go into "all files" and start playing from there.

I only have a few days left in my return window. Having spent more than a month on it, I want to return it and get one from another seller.
My one had an issue where lines of pixels were not displaying properly, it wasn't that obvious during the boot-uo logo animation, and was to the left edge of the album art, so was easy to miss if doing a quick test (as a seller).
I'm not sure what would be causing that but I would recommend to return asap and get a get another. There are plenty around.

Hello everyone,

As a daily user of Classic iPods and Walkman DAP's I have been searching for ways to convert my Playlists and songs cover artworks in formats that would be usable by the two devices. A couple of years ago I wrote a couple of python drafts to perform these tasks and recently I found the time to write them properly and make an official package of it.

The package, with instructions, is available here: https://pypi.org/project/audio-libraries-tlk/1.0.0/

The code lives here: https://github.com/BenoitGaston/audio-libraries-tlk

The issues can be reported here: https://github.com/BenoitGaston/audio-libraries-tlk/issues

Feel free to use, share, comment!

Best,

Benoît

Hello, I have a question for NW-A50 Series owners. Last week I installed the Wakman One CFW on my NW-A55 and gave it the 1-st run with the WM1Z sound saignature.

What do you think is the intrinsic sound signature of NW-A55 on stock FW and HW? Warm, neutral or bright?

I wonder which of the 4 available sound signatures in Walkman One might be the most corresponding one with the intrinsic sound signature.

Good question, I've wondered myself. It seems we all go for the signature mimicking the highest-tier player like the WM1Z, or older DMP tuning.
My current lifestyle doesn't support much listening time so I don't have time to experiment with the options. I bought my ZX300 and A55 this year, ideally I wanted to listen to stock for a while, but just ended up installing my usual combo.
There are occasions I don't like something about my IER-Z1R with my WM1Z, both stock and firmware tuning, something I didn't experience with my WM1A. I sometimes feel like that is a hardware trait.

I ended up returning it and getting another one.

The new one functions great. Never had the issue of buttons pressing themselves on the new one.

But is this an air bubble at the top of the screen? And is there a way to fix it? The screen came like that.

Does anyone else have something like this?

Given how much trouble I had the first time I purchased one, not sure if it's worth trying to purchase a 3rd. But if this screen isn't normal, it is annoying me.

It's at the very top of the screen, and goes 1/2 way across.

If you think a repair shop could fix it, that might almost be worth it, rather than order another one from Japan, which takes weeks to arrive. Not sure how much it would cost yet though, if a repair shop can fix it.

I have the same thing with mine, about 1cm in the same place. I don't know if there was a bad batch? It doesn't bother me, and I wasn't going to bother with a return again.

I had an issue with the screen of the one I just bought from a reputable Japanese seller on eBay. They weren't something that could easily have been detected when giving a quick test, I'm in the process of returning.

My one had an issue where lines of pixels were not displaying properly, it wasn't that obvious during the boot-uo logo animation, and was to the left edge of the album art, so was easy to miss if doing a quick test (as a seller).

Is this the same thing where you mentioned a line of pixels were not displaying properly?

If not, what was the issue that caused you to return your first one?

No, the first one I ordered from eBay had the issue with the pixels, which I returned. The second one I ordered from Amazon Japan has the small line at the top of the screen where it seems to meet the surround.

Hi. What are the best ldac bluetooth headphones under $200 that I could use to pair with my A55 and work out with?

The budget is a bit restrictive. If you cannot rise it, wait till Black Friday and try to find SONY WF-1000X4 or WF-1000X5.

Thanks! Will do.
