@unknown321123 I just finished reading your -Making Of document: what a facinating and insightful piece. Many thanks and congratulations for your work.

I will certainly give Wampy a try even.

I purchased a used 1000X3 in great condition. LDAC sounds good. Much better than my AirPod’s Pro 2.

are you happy with the battery life? Have you had the possibility to test it before buying ?

No I blindly bought it. I charged it once since I got it back in early November. Hasn’t died yet.

Hi, in pre-Mr. Walkman's-WalkmanOne times the region destination tool (https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SonyNWDestTool.html) was used for changing regions.

If your NW-A55 is currently on CEW2 region, putting WalkmanOne for NW-A50 series (https://www.mrwalkman.com/p/walkman-one-a50series.html?m=1) on it should remove the volume cap without applying the Rockbox destination tool before.

Applying WalkmanOne on NW-A55 turns it into a little beast. I especially like the NW-WM1Z tuning. So my recommendation is - definitely go ahead with WalkmanOne.

Go to the main page of MrWalkman. In the headline bar there are links to Walkman NW Series for which WalkmanOne is available. NW-A30 Series is among them.

is this compatible with the NW-A35?

Yes, and it definitely offers a smoother UI compared to the stock firmware.

Also take a look at Wampy, developed by @unknown321123, which for A30 is only available with the Walkman One firmware: https://github.com/unknown321/wampy

It offers the Android cassette background for when playing music (or a Winamp-like screen) as well as many other options - read all about it in the link above.
