I have all the artist fields filled in. I am using the card for audiobooks. Some have short tracks, so I have 83,279 songs.

You might have gone over the max number of tracks though I don’t know exactly what that number is. On the stock fw A45 it was under 40.000

Can you find the songs through folder mode and if so, what shows on the screen when you play them

Then I only see 2 possible explanations. The tracks are in some way corrupt so the library build routine don’t include them or you have maxed out the library capacity. I’ve only got about 60.000 tracks so am good to go yet. The library is a seperate partition in storage and so has a fixed and finite size though I don’t know what that size is or how to calculate it

I can pick up a used Sony NW-A55 fairly cheap. My question is its an EU model so its volume output will be limited, will the MrWalkman firmware open up the volume limitations.

Yes as will the RockBox nwdest tool, it’s only the Sony Android players that are permanently locked
