Quick question - is the A55 same size as A45? Would a case advertised for A45 fit the A55? Thank you

Yes that case should work with them all as it has those big cut outs

There are no settings for this. You just connect the adapter to the player, with the DAC plugged in. You should see somewhere in the upper part of the screen "USB AUDIO".

Yes, the player just transmits the plain audio data from the files.

I know what he meant i have one as well and couldnt figure out why intil a) both were tuened ON and B) on my wm1A i disabled the charge connected device or so option du ing USB DAC Mose while trying pairing NW-A25 and wm1A to teat usb sac. With an Oppo HA-2 rhings ran amooth

The A55 does hiss with highly sensitive IEMs, but generally once music starts playing, it ain't obvious.

I can't find any official output impedance specs for the A55. I do suspect it isn't that low, as I do get a bit of a skewed sound for some low impedance IEMs eg Campfire Andromeda 2020, Audiosense T800, TRI Starsea. Otherwise, with the Mr Walkman mod (many thanks for his hard work), the A55 sounds great, buttery smooth with good layering in the mids. It can't power more demanding gear, but I liked it so much I bought a 2nd A55 at the last sale!
