Sony MH1C better than CIEMs or just another ATH-M50?

Well turned out to be an interesting poll. At least 71 percent of people believe them to be worth 2X or more their price.

Now am I the only person to notice that 36+35+27= 98%? Where did the mysterious 2% go?...............

It obviously has to round when there are only ~70 votes. Calculate the percentage for each, truncate to 0 decimal places, then add.

I enjoy the MH1C, but certainly not $100+ level. Literally blown away by the bass (in a bad way), and the trebles don't extend that well. I'd probably pay $40 max for them, due to their asymmetrical cable and especially the flat microphonic cable.

I would not like these to become another M50; I hate their uncomfy pads and lack of mids. Vocals feel dead.

Thanks.
It's the meth, or the MH1C....or it could be my thesis, and the desire to finish grad school... it's one of those, anyway.

Welcome to the club buddy!:)

I recently bought MH1C and I'm listening to it for the past 10 hrs. Though Bass and Mids are OK for me, extreme highs are little bit shrilling

Can anyone in this thread let me know if you are facing similar issues? Is it due to burn in period or this is MH1C's character?
