I agree 100%. NDH 30 is an awkward HP to wear with its ginormous round pads. Looks like MV1 is much more comfortable to wear. But if they sound along the lines of hix65 or hd560s, may be a bit fatiguing for me.I understand it's blasphemy to critize the NDH30, but I can assure you; I was wearing it correctly.

I wouldn't say bright af, but brighter than what I myself prefer. It's an HD600 with more bass and a bit more top end. That's what my ears hear. So, bright af?

No, not especially bright, it is a very present low end, the treble balances pretty nicely. So, bright af?

That sounds like not such a bad thing, although 600 has plenty of top for me.I wouldn't say bright af, but brighter than what I myself prefer. It's an HD600 with more bass and a bit more top end. That's what my ears hear.
Many years ago I found the HD-600 brighter than my liking, so this graph is a little discouraging. It's only a graph though...That sounds like not such a bad thing, although 600 has plenty of top for me.

What are people comparing HD 600 to that it sounds bright?

Comparing MV1 (thread topic) to HD600.What are people comparing HD 600 to that it sounds bright?
Just speculating, but the bass on the MV1 might ‘soak up’ that excess treble and balance it out.

It might well do, and also leave the mids slightly recessed, which might not be a bad thing either.Comparing MV1 (thread topic) to HD600.

Hello my account has been scammed, any message in 2023 was not me at all. I am never on headfi anymore. Problem should be solved as I implemented 2-step verification

I am ordering MDR-MV1 and plan on using it with DMP-Z1. Hope it's a good pairing.
