I thinking about getting this headphone just to keep in my backpack. Could I use this headphone in the library? (ie any sound leakage). I have a Senn HD 598 with E7/E9 for home use, and i'm not expecting the 7506 (with ipod or laptop) to sound as good as that combo, but how does the 7506 hold up to the Senn IE6?

It isolates very good being a closed can. For optimal portable results get a 35 dollar cmoy from ebay to go along wih it and you will have a great time. It is also a plus that it is a headphone that responds very well to EQ if you are looking for extra bass or more mids. I use it flat.

I've been considering grabbing a pair of V6 or 7506's for portable use since I don't really like IEM's.  I absolutely adore my Grado 225i's, but they leak so much I can't use them anywhere except at home.

v6/7506 is a very good portable option. Depending on your musical tastes you might want to check the m50 and the krk 6400 also.
