SONY IER-Z1R

Have tried plenty of ear tips and now with Azla Crystal ( enhance treble and decrease bass)/ Radius Deep Mount. Also, Acoustune 07 and 08 are very good imho.

Spiral Dots ++10 is also quite good but often stays in the ears without z1r.
Azla Kotori - quite a good one, same as regular Azla Sedna
Azla Xelastec is too grippy and uncomfy, collects dust, hard to remove.
Triple Hybrid ( same as stock one) change sound in a way I don't like( treble cut a bit).
Silicon stock is not bad, but options that are placed upper are simply better.
Symbio MandarineS is too rough in my view, not comfortable, and hard to fit deep into the ear.
And all foam-type of ear tips are just not my cup of tea as their impact on the sound, in my view, is something really odd and the change of signature is significant.

Hope it could help somebody

I would say azla crystal because I don't like accents on the bass. But sometimes I change them to Radius. For me, those two are the best combo for z1r

Ordered my Z1Rs this week. All these "tips" for tips to use are very helpful. I'm not a fan of foam tips so I'm not sure I'll be interested in the triple comfort tips Sony provides. Final E and Spiral Dots are some of my favorite tips; starting to like Spinfit CP145 a lot too.

Anyone thinking of testing out the EE EVO as a replacement to Z1R?
I’ll be getting the EVO. Although, I doubt it would be a direct IER-Z1R replacement, at least for me. The initial impressions of EVO is that it’s tuned similarly to the Legend X, which has more of an L-shaped sound signature. IER-Z1R has a V-shaped tuning with more pronounced upper mids and treble.

It’ll be interesting nonetheless to compare the two. I’ll share some thoughts once EVO arrives :)

Congrats on the purchase!

Final E has been about the best for me with Z1R, SpiralDots close second, you should be fine with either.

You should give the Triple Comfort Foams a try. They are not like most other foams in that they don't really muffle the sound too much..

I would agree about the Final E tips, I found them to be the best I've used.

Any more info on the EVOs?
