Roughly, how much is it to get your ear impressions in USA. California if it makes a difference

Well adv is based in California, they shipped it to Montreal Canada for an extra 25usd

The job is 175$ usd maybe free shipping among usa not sure.

So far I am loving these. And adv responds fast via email. Like the same day!

I got new pics for the curious ones and specially for this gentleman lol @KPzypher

They are very soft on the feel and hold super tight, you could jump and run and won't fall out!

YEP. You just confirmed my suspicion.

Tell me they don't look similar. :L3000::smile_phones::ksc75smile:

They sure do look comfortable though.

I’m seeing a few of micro-scratches on the housing and focusing on it is a eye straining lol.

But man do these sound phenomenal!!

They came with all those beautiful micro scratches.
I am a third owner!

Anyone have experience getting ear impressions done at Costco? Good? Pricing?

I can't go to anything near me due to the not open on weekends or they cost too much (70-200)
It has always been expensive, If you think it's expensive, you can forget about it.

If you like Sony's Z1R silicone tips and want to add some colour to your Z1R's looks for some reason, it seems the Z1R uses the same tips as the MDR-EX155 based on what I received/ordered from the part numbers I previously listed. My LL tips are labelled as Z1R while my L size tips are labelled as from the MDR-EX155. Both are exactly the same besides the size of course.

Anyhow, EX155 comes in Red/Green/Pink/Blue/Turquoise/White/Yellow/Black so you could probably buy the IEMs for cheap (comes with SS->L tips so LL ears are SOL) or just look up parts for it. The Gold version has the grey tips which are the same as the Z1R so it might be a cheaper alternative than buying parts sometimes especially if your local store charges like $10 for shipping 4 eartips.

Probably been asked before, but what's the best-balanced cable to use with my Astell&Kern Sp1000? I don't like using the current cable due to having to use 4.4mm to 2.5mm adapter

Yeah the sp1000 am aint top notch and to get enough punch one has to deal with its 2.5 balance connection.

The Z1R does need a lot of power. I've just bought the SP1000 Amp for it. It definitely drives the Z1R now, but I just need to get rid of the adapter. What 2.5mm cable is best?
