Not sure I recall a single relevant post of yours.

I've had my z1r for about three weeks now. I spent a fair amount of time this past weekend going back and forth with the z1r and Audeze LCD4 powered by my MHA100. I can honestly say that the z1r equalled the LCD4 for me. The sound stage was as good if not better and the visceral feel of the bass performance was stunning. I'm definitely going to start clearing out my full size collection as the z1r checks all the boxes for me without the discomfort of wearing a heavy headset... And no more HP hair. :)

Clearly a man who says a lot with few words.

So you're moving to the IER-Z1R on a desktop DAC/amp because of headphone hair? lol I'm surprised you aren't wearing these as earrings, a fetish of sorts. That's too good for you, I suppose. More realistic conditions, uses, and reasons vary.

If anyone on the fence about these expensive iem’s, I strongly encourage you to purchase this asap. They are as captivating as anything I’ve tried or owned. Only downside is that it makes multitasking quite difficult.

Lyle Lovett “Old Friend” lush, clear, musical with width, depth, layering—and most every song is similarly stunning.

Needless to say, happy and amazed by what I’m hearing.

Well, at least we've learned these should scale well. By the way, does this mean the LCD4 don't scale well?

Now that's the play. Too bad the dude is reluctant to carry $8k like that on the metro. You've go to do it though. Looks like Jack Bauer if as opposed to saving the country he put his savings into his true passion.

Those IEM sure would've been nice to have on a rainy bus ride from the "hair cutter." :)

Included a cleaning cloth and the nicest case compared to that of the xba-z5, what a generous amount of tips.

The triple comfort feel like a mixture between comply foamies and silicone tips, they feel super comfy and well they smell weird :D haha

Now the IER-Z1R, boah, they're gorgeous, beautifully crafted, I am glad that any moved away from that stupid ex1000, xba style of fit, they're more stable on the ears

What I am hearing so far is good , Haydn string quartets op. 17 Kodaly Quartet , naxos. FLAC 16/44.1
The stage is the biggest I've ever heard on a an IEM, even bigger than that of the xba-z5. Perhaps at the same league as the MDR-Z1R.

Source is a wm1A with the 4.4 balanced output at low gain
