I too had the dekoni elites... But they added significant heat and clamp... which I did not care for... especially for long listening sessions with the Realiser. The Jaben pads are lightweight and soft.. very similar to the stock pads.

I've owned a set of the original HD800... And I am on my third set of HD800s. I don't plan on selling anymore. 🤪

When I bought the Dekoni pads, I didn’t know about the ones from Jaben. Actually, only Dekoni were the easiest for me to buy then.

as a update to the Sony PS5 Beta Atmos upgrade.... I tried my best to get it to work and this is what it is ... I loaded the beta software on the PS5 and loaded the Atmos Demo Disk for the test... turned off Auromatic on the A16... on the PS5 settings for Atmos it had a selection of 7.1 (no higher option) ... as I was playing the Atmos Demo Disk the A16 and PS5 handshake for Atmos did not happen... the A16 reported it as 8 channel PCM, but during playback the A16 speaker display showed the proper speakers during the Test Tone tracks... so it looked as if the A16 was decoding the signal correctly it just wasn't being reported as a good handshake and displaying Dolby Atmos... ??? So I turned the Auromatic back on with the A16 and its showing PCM 8ch converting to 13.1 Auro3d.... Turned the Apple TV on to confirm operation of the A16 Atmos and its working on Apple music and Tidal perfectly well.... so in the end it looks like Sony has a little more work to do and I'll just keep using the Auromatic option with it...
I do not currently have my A16 hooked up because I just went through moving this weekend and haven’t gotten around to messing with getting that all connected again, however I can tell you that on my LG CX it is showing that it is receiving an Atmos signal from my PS5 on the beta firmware.

so far I have gotten the PS5 to deliver Atmos with the exception of Apple Music... so I'll just let Apple TV playback for Apple Music in Atmos...

How is the AppleTV UI for Apple Music for finding Atmos albums? I'm a Tidal user (because I use Roon) and their UI for the AppleTV makes it very difficult to find any Atmos albums except a few new releases.

怡同科技 is the distributor of A16 in China, unfortunately mainly for universities and film production professionals.

I think it’s still good that distribution companies bring the Realiser A16 to the attention of prospective customers.
The use of A16 in the professional world has been quite extensive! But in the civilian field (movie enthusiasts) as far as I know, there are only four or five people using it within China. When I recommended the A16 to our audiophile group, most people scoffed: how can you experience panoramic sound with headphones?

just curious if anyone has investigated the possibility of recording the output of the A16.... a person could let the A16 encode a album and output the results to a recorder and the file loaded onto a DAP so they would have a mini A16 with the encoded music...

@Litlgi74 and I reported about the recording the output of the Realiser A16 Speaker Edition at the following link
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/smyth-research-realiser-a16-speaker-edition.960912/page-6

I recorded a few audio samples conveyed from the SPDIF OUT-A of my Realiser A16 Speaker Edition to the SPDIF input of a miniDSP SHD unit, which was connected to a laptop via USB cable. The software for recording was Audacity. The speakers were disconnected from power supply.

If you have heard any of my demos... this is exactly how they were made.

Thanks George... it never crossed my mind that the SE edition would be able to do this with a two ch system... interesting... where can I get a sample for playback....
