Right but if the tweeter is further away from your ear than the bass driver, then that probably creates an artificial soundstage, the bass notes closer and the high notes further away, etc.

It's not important and I'm not saying I'm right, it just seems logical to me something like that might be the case.

You insert them into the side of your skull and then all you see is vascillating layer-cake in a 7cm diametre sphere surrounding your anti-helix. It's like strawberry, vanilla and pascal's theorem all in single psychoactive illustration that's portable lavaliered with the visual landscapes of nature and dusty city life.

i am a loving this Kiteki,  she loves headfones, she is witty, and she bakes ....

soundstage...
is there an industry standard on where the recording mic is placed...
for a small band, or an orchestra...so that purists will KNOW/AGREE what is the CORRECT soundstage in the original recording???
and we havent factor in the insulation, humidity, size, height of the recording room variance..zzzz

just plug in the headphone u bought, turn on the power and see if u can enjoy the music..
if it is playing the pubsinger 5feet away from u the way u LIKE IT, than keep that can.
if u are hearing her from the attic, by all means burn down the house.

^ I don't remember having to extend my old pair like that to fit it in the case.  This is how they came as well, so that's not just me putting them in wrong,

Sorry this took so long.  I was marathoning Twin Peaks with a friend.

Yeah the headband does look wider than mine when I hold it in a similar position as you did in your photos. You also seem to be correct about the flatter metal pieces, interesting. The headband was extended in the case for the original 940 though, so that is normal.

You're female? I don't even know if we have any other female head-fiers. Not that it matters one way or the other. It's just uncommon is all!

I checked out your gear in your profile. Way to go on the Line6 Toneport by the way. I used a Spider III for a few years with active pick ups on my seven string. Loved the meaty, "digital" tone.

Can someone with an SRH940 send a pair to Purrin for measurements?  His CSD would be a great way to compare 940 to 840 and possibly objectify some of your claims about how much more detail they have.  I think comparing them in CSD would be a really interesting one!

Then that's distortion.

I hate distortion.
