I've used generic settings for PEQ in the past and never been that impressed. It really depends on what you want to achieve with the sound and PEQ is usually very personal to the listener.

What sound "improvements" are you trying to achieve and perhaps someone can help you better?

I was just seeing if any Lotoo P6000 and Shure se846 owners had created any PMEQ that I could try.

Trishd mod: Blue - all blue filter foam pushed down to the damper end of the filter tube

Just ordered a couple of blue filters to try this mod. The foam as new in each filter looks like it goes all the way down until where the tube gets bigger. Do they need to be pushed down beyond this point and by how much. Also what have people used to push the foams down?

I believe is; ONE filter pushed down the other removed.
So are the two separate foams in each filter it looks like one long foam In each?

These are new filters only had them a few days.
I thought gen 1 gen 2 filters were all the same other than the additional red with gen 2.
This is getting more confusing I might end up sending these filters back.

My filters also which over the 4 years I use the SE 846s have 2 pieces of foam. But I read somewhere in this thread some time ago that older versions of gen1 had one piece. I might be mistaken.
But there is no need to send yours back, this is a trivial matter.

This is what worries me. I had this with two sets from years ago and both times I spoke to Shure about it, they quoted me a price for an entire replacement IEM as they don't "repair" them. £400 each too!
I got a reply from Shure that they will send me a new set of se846s as a replacement of the faulty mmcx ones I now have. Hopefully they send the Gen 2 version. Not that it matters much but at least I'll have the chance to try the reds!
