Wow very nice, and is the note 5 a decent source for the Mojo, or is the Mojo better driven by a Dap like fiio or ibasso?

Will the Mojo really impress with the se846 over something like (ibasso DAPs with se846 or fiio players?)

Unfortunately I am not able to answer that as I have never used a FiiO or iBasso.

Why would he need 2 cables?  The Note 5 pairs to the Mojo with a single OTG usb cable (using UAPP or Onkyo player)

Sorry mate, just basing it off Relic's review. Haven't tried it out myself. And I should probably get one now that I know a single cable exists. Thanks!

To be clear I stated in my review that you need to use the Apple CCK and a USB cable for IOS devices. For Android there are many single OTG USB cable solutions that can be purchased but I don't use Android personally so can not recommend one.

Back to the SE846....

Apologies and thanks for the clarification! I've only used the optical out option myself, wasn't aware of the single cable option for Android.

Funny how vamp Verza does not need a cck to iPhone connector. Thunderbird to micro 3 inch direct connection. Granted prefer Hugo to 846, just use it when I need a more portable solution. What makes Verza so special? Probably technical and proprietary reasons?

The Vamp Verza like the new Shure KSE 1500 DAC/amp is MFI certified by Apple which does away with the CCK cable requirement.

I have noticed that outside the US Shure has not a public fare list for out of warranty repairs.

Being in Europe i was wondering what would be the oow cost of replacing (i.e.) one earphone due to a massive driver failure.

In Westone OOW repairs are very affordable even if you operate from Europe but a few years back i had an OOW problem with a Shure SE110  and the European branch (basically) told to purchase a new pair (At a discounted price that was more expensive than amazon price tag LOL).

So if somebody has had a stroke of bad luck with their SE846s out of warranty outside the US it might come in handy to share the info since Shure does not gives prices in advance. If fixing a SE846 in Europe might cost 800 Euros i may switch back to Westone as my warranty period comes close to an end.

I love my se846, I find them soo good, I've tested other high end iem like k3003/ie800/jh13/ue. And se846 sounds the best to me, however I bet CIEM are much better, I wonder how much better the sensaphonics sleeves make the se846 sound, due to better isolation

Mojo on the way, and I hear it's nice with the se846
