can anyone post a picture of the sure se846 with the iPhone remote cable attached? This would be helpful.

Also, when i briefly had these, i had a lot of trouble removing the ear tips. Was this common with some of you? I tried pulling and twisting, but didn't do it with fear that i would damage the product.

Do the iPhone remote/mic alternatives for the 846 function fully (play, pause, skip, volume)?

I have the remote mic cable and I would not recommend it. It does have all the functions as far as I know. But the cable is too springy and cheap feeling. It doesn't conform to the ear so it always just falls off. You could definitely spend that money on a better cable. I'm hoping Noble audio will come out with a 15.5" (MMCX) cable for their BTS. So I can just use that as a remote/mic

The foamies are indeed hard to remove, that's a common "issue" with Shure iems. Some suggest putting the iems into the fridge for 10 to 20 minutes, but I have always managed to disattach them without that method, but it indeed requires quite a lot of pressure whilst twisting and pulling like mad. Yet, no harm was done to my SE425 and SE846 at all, the nozzles are darn sturdy. The silicone tips however are pretty easy to swap (and I am no foamie guy either, so I use silicone tips with all of my iems).

The blue Logitech UE 900 cable is pretty good and imo the best cable out there (flexibility etc.), next to the Ultimate Ears Custom cable (which will obviously not fit).

So another brands iPhone remote/mic (all functionality) will work just as advertise with the shures as long as the method of connection is the same? Thanks in advance.
