Any one tried or currently using se846 eith lg v20? How’s the sound?

Not the V20, but I own the V30 - and this phone absolutely rocks. It smokes most of my low-to-mid priced DAPs for sound quality. It also has a completely black background with the SE846. I can't recommend it highly enough. For the price of a reasonable DAP, you get a really good DAP with a quad ESS DAC, but with a better interface than any existing DAP, and it's also a phone with an amazing battery life. No need to carry a separate DAP around with you anymore :)

It also has a feature that iPhone users will find a bit novel - it comes with a 3.5 mm headphone socket :) Its headphone output also has an automatic gain adjustment for its amp based on the impedance of the connected headphones. It drives both the 8 Ohm SE846 and the 300 Ohm HD800S effortlessly :)

You’re right Lg really knocked it out of the park with the V30 however i am only considering v20 for the audio playback and a bit of android love (currently using 6S+) and I was wondering if it would show an upgrade in sound over the iPhone since it packs the same audio related hardware as the V30 the sound should be pretty comparable.

I've not heard the V20, but those folks in the V30 thread that have compared both have said they're close for SQ. For the current price of a V20, I would think that's one of the best value for money DAPs you could currently buy. (And it's not that easy finding a DAP with a very quiet noise floor for the SE846!)

I've heard the V20 and V30 with the SE846. They both sound great and have a silent nose floor. The V30 update is minimal to my ears.

Yes, if it is sound you want, the LG 20 and the HTC 10 are great items easily found now at bargain prices. Both are stellar in combo with the SE846. (I have the HTC 10 here.)

Just ordered the V20 last night for a killer bargain of a price 235$ including tax and shipping I think it’s insane value for money...it will be a Korean version and since i am living in Beijing at the moment it will work with my carrier’s 4G network that’s for just in case as I will be using it purely for music and IPhone for everything else.

It will arrive around the weekend and i am so excited

Just recieved my "SE846-CL-A" international version(Amazom Prime). Soon as I opened the box it looks like the Shure 425 was swapped in. Kind of shocked right now. I posted a picture of the iem just to confirm. What's the best way to handle this situation? Thanks 20171121_192057.jpg

Looks like a fairly obvious mistake. Amazon are pretty good about exchanges/refunds for almost any reason. And you definitely have a reason! Sorry to hear about this :frowning2:
