Just want to start a thread of the Shozy Zero before these IEMs hit the market, hopefully soon!

A quick description: The Shozy Zero is a single dynamic-driver IEMs made with REAL rosewood and priced at $50!! Pictures can be seen at the Shozy Facebook page. These IEMs are cheekily name Zero because they represent the missing Zero between their $50 price tag and $500 sound quality. (I also joked that these were named Zero because that's how much it should cost us, and was shot back that Zero represents how much will be left in our wallets after purchasing it.)

Ok, joking aside and in all seriousness, these IEMs will probably not best most $500 earphones out there especially when sound preference comes into place, but it should be able to give many $200-300 IEMs a run for their money.

A few lucky owners in Singapore have gotten their hands on the final production units before they go on sale and we will be posting up our impressions in the coming days and weeks (currently listening to it powered by a Liquid Carbon).

I know what I've said so far sound suspiciously like I'm mega hyping it up, but if you're willing to take the plunge for only $50, you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you get. I know I will be going around recommending these to non-audiophiles who are probably willing to pay a reasonable amount of money for something better than Apple Earpods.

Update: Thanks to Joe Bloggs for sharing his aftermarket tuneup for the Zero on foobar2000 in the following link:

Alright, I think Shozy has garnered enough cred here to not need the used car sales pitch. The "kills $XXX" earphone treatment or, in this case, dropping the 10 times the price thing.

Shozy, quite handsome, and $50. What else do you need to say?

I am thoroughly impressed with the Zero. It is very likeable for a wide variety of audio taste.

I will be receiving my Zero soon and look forward to comparisons with my Shozy DIY and Cygnus earbuds. I have, in the past, owned the Alien and currently own the Shozy MagicDAC which I very much enjoy.

As I have often found in the past, price is not necessarily commensurate with audio quality. If the Zero meets expectations, they should be a runaway best seller!

I will post my impressions in detail once the Zero's arrive.

Seriously, it amazing when paired with the Alien. It is so immersive. Currently still burning it in with.

Hope it just sounds great in general or quite an extra bump from the synergy?

What is the cable like? Looks like it lays well. looks a bit Vsonic-ish and KZ-ish. Looks like no cord slider??

Seems like a few have them already. What are they going for with the signature? I was thinking balanced with the wood warming it up to a certain level, adding some sweetness but not too much to cover up the resolution.

Hopefully I'll grab a pair as well and see how they stack up :)

Thanks for the responses and impressions.

No chin slider on mine, dunno if that would change.

Soundwise you might have nailed it so far :D But still burning them in per recommendations. :xf_eek:
