You're right - it is a WA2.
The photo made it look so big I thought it was another model that I still can't remember the numbers of, or the member who owned it at one time.

Wasn't there a custom / ultra limited edition WA4 which had some resemblance to WA2?
Yeah, something like that - if I remember correctly there was a 4 in the model and it did look like the WA2 which is why I thought that was it.Wasn't there a custom / ultra limited edition WA4 which had some resemblance to WA2?

Beautiful dac!
Always lovely to see things on your rack.
How's Ultimate compare to Oblivion?

Thank you for your kind words @TheMiddleSky. It is very hard to compare between 2 amps. The only thing I can say is that Oblivion is a specialist in closed headphones, and has the wildest sound stage. Beautiful and fabulous sounds for my VC, AC and Eikon. Tomas built it with minimal input and output tubes. A quad 6S19P output tube and a single 12AX7 input tube. It is very inexpensive to buy tubes.Always lovely to see things on your rack.

Love the UltimatE, jack of all trades and master all. There are so many combinations of tubes that you can power this amp to optimize the sounds. Almost endlessly, I love the way it uses exactly the same tubes for drivers and powers with adapters. I like it so much that I ordered a 300b SupremE amp from Eric. It should be here at the end of May or early June. Here is a picture of the UltimatE using 4 EL3N tubes, Sakuma style.

I finally found a reasonably priced, decent rack to put my equipment in
Ok not really a head-fi station but I'm having lots of fun with the holo spring2 and ubuntu studio. Looking forward to cancelling my subscription for the DAW that shall not be named
Got a fanless gpu and a very quiet cpu cooler and psu.
Ah, the good old days of 80mm fans, molex cables, and modular full sized HD cages! love it!

It's all NVME, LEDs, watercooling, and 160mm fans nowadays.

Barely putting a dent in the cpu so far, with lots of plugins. No buffer underruns, no crashes. Loving it!
