I kind of have a unique set-up.Wanted to put my entire rig between my recliner and couch so its out of the way and I can slide my left hand down there to control the volume and other buttons.Rock solid,includes a Violectric v200 amp,Denafrips Ares II Dac and a Pro-ject stream box ultra s2 feeding the streaming/saved files.Headphones are Audeze LCD-2 pre-fazor.

Never managed to hear a V200, though Violectric claims the voicing of the V200 was carried forward in the V281 (still my favorite amp).

I’ve had both,to me they have the same sound signature with the v281 obviously having more power,but the v200 is no slouch in that department.

Every so often, I switch locales for V200 and V281. Of V200, I do like the horizontal profile, the XLR rear sockets (enabling DAC XLR connection). Sound: true Violectric, clarity, fullness, with a tinge of warmth.

Check these out. Look to be true 1578's with the metal spring mica supports and tabbed rectangular micas. But the plates aren't perforated, and the top micas are transparent. I've never seen any like these before.
