Made the same move but to free space. Didn’t work out in the end. My book collecting impulse got the better of me.

Nice setup! I like the centre weight. Is the cartridge a Sumiko Blue Point?

I like the older technology such as tube amps and R2R DACs, but I've yet to try one of those 17 bit abacus-based DACs. They're pretty easy to make 1s and 0s with, but I don't know if they can really decode digital files quickly enough to sound good. They should probably include a number of highly trained mice to flip the beads back and forth with their little hands.
