Nightmare…

I took a photo of my gear and promptly deleted it when I saw how dusty it was. Immediately after that I grabbed the dust rag and some End Dust

I'm crying over this image because my headphone stand left a ring imprint after I used a can of End Dust to clean the rack.... Yeah, I'm obsessive that way :relaxed:

I’d really appreciate seeing some photos of people’s turntable listening stations. Mine is functional but aesthetically unappealing.

As a Schitt Asgard 3 owner, I can say, with great love and conviction, please, get a new amp. You are doing your gear a great injustice with that square wave circuit they added to it to make fake tubey sound. I have compared its output against other amps, and even my Cavalli Liquid Spark is better than it. If you want to stay on Schitt, then consider the Jot 2.
Yeah... Schiit amps have come a long way since Asgard 3, and I am a Asgard 3 owner as well (granted that it is on loan to a friend). I would go as far as to say that Vali 3 even sound better than the Asgard 3 at a fraction of the price. Valhalla 3, Jot 2, and Midgard are also fine options depending on the budget. Lets just say I have lots of experience with Schiit gear Asgard 3 to today. :smirk:

Nice! I have posted in other threads but my experience is that Asgard actually sounds good on my Meze gear but I don’t enjoy it on the HD6XX and as a speaker preamp. I might get a Vali 3 for the hell if it - never had tube gear before. How is the VH3?

The VH3 is a step or two above the Vali 3 in sound quality as well as having a lot more tube flavor (for obvious reasons). I would say that the VH3 makes dynamic headphones like the ZMF Atrium Open and HD6xx lineup sing (wider/deeper soundstage, and longer more natural decay). I do enjoy Planar headphones like the SJY Audio Horizon Open, and Arya Stealth with the VH3 as well (for similar reasons), yet Mjolnir 3 has a better grip on those drivers. I listen to a bit of everything, so I have tried it with a nice mix of genres.

The Vali 3 is still a very good amp, and I am not getting rid of it anytime soon. Vali 3 has lots of tube rolling options, and is a fun listen with a wide range of headphones. For $150 I don't know of many amps that I could say the same things about. I have preamped my Gjallarhorn with Vali 3 connected to both Klipsch RP600m speakers, and planar headphones with great success. Vali 3 was my gateway into tube addiction, and has continued with the Valhalla 3. Like I said before a lot of good Schiit amps to be had right now. :L3000:

Now that I'm retired, the home office has been handed off to the wife. My new listening nook...
