never imagined I'd have a vivaldi apex dac sitting on my rack! what a massive piece; almost killed my back carrying it. dwarfs everything else on the rack!

and no, I didn't buy it, mainly because I can't imagine spending that amount on a single audio component. a friend is going on holiday for a couple of weeks and is letting me use it whilst he is away. looking forward to trying it with all my amps and headphones! good times ahead, I hope!
very nice set up!

Whoooa thats a hell of a combo....a dream setup...How does it sound?:relaxed:

Thanks! It sounds nice, it sings to the heart

May I ask, what is the name of your tube amp?

The electronics on top shelf is a tube DAC, the Horizon from Lampizator (Poland).

The amp sits on 2nd tier, it's a AIC-10, a hybrid design from Riviera (Italy).

And a quick update shot after some fine tuning on the DAC (Omicron isolation footers, Synergistic Research Purple fuse). Next stages will likely be tube rolling and cable loom progressive upgrade.

All you guys have awesome setups. I feel like mind is pedestrian by comparison. I wish I could afford the more expensive gear you guys have.
