Just a quick question for those of You with ZMF headphones.
I maybe will be able to borrow headphones from a store. It will be just one pair so i would like to ask You - which one i should borrow ;
Bokeh
Aeolus
Auteur Classic
Atticus
I would prefer the closed one but if the open is better than open it is.
About the size of the pads opening - are they bigger than the Denon AH D9200 ? I need something bigger than the Denon pads.
The store i was planning to borrow the ZMF Auteur Classic from, has no demo of this one and the Bokeh.
So now I do not know what to do.
Looking also at the second hand market , hier on the Head-fi, but still, without a test ...
How is the Bokeh doing with classical music? It was very good on the Denon.
In comparison with Clear OG, Denon brought life to the music, made it more open. Clear was taking some energy away or it was closing the sound in a bubble, not allowing the sound to shine.
I was planning to go for the Auteur Classic( asked the ZMF in the mail about differences vs the LTD 2024) so it would be no cool , to ask a headphone i am not interested in.
Specially when it is far, i live in NL and the store is in Germany.
I have v2 of the Cavalli Liquid Carbon and love that sound. Its size and modest cost when new really gave no sign of how really good it sounds. All my headphones sound wonderful on it.
I have better SS amps here, but they're obviously bigger and cost more. I can't think of any amp this size that equals the LC.
Yes, it is a great little amplifier with enough power and quality to fully enjoy music.
I miss the Moon 430HA for some things but the Cavalli is very solvent and the price has nothing to do with it.
Decided to add a little listening station in the corner of the bedroom. I sometimes read up there and/or listen to some relaxing music before bed. I thought the Xduoo would be nice as it is good looking. Running it off a Topping D10s fed from a raspberry Pi running RopieeXL. The Pi works with Roon and has very little delay streaming videos from my IPad over Bluetooth. I have had the He-4XX around for awhile. Pretty decent for the money and so very comfortable.
My current setup. Lake People G111 MKII, Schiit Magni Heretic, and Schiit Modi Multibit 2. The two headphones I’m using at the moment the HD 660S2 and DT 700 Pro X (new).
