My view today. Saturday listening session considering the terrible weather here in the Northeast.

Those Output Frontiers are great looking speakers. Are both active or just one?
Both are active and they sound great. Output did a great job.

How are the highs (treble) as I note the lack of a true tweeter. I'd imagine a bit dark?
The Frontiers have coaxial aligned 6.5” and 1.0” drivers with a crossover at 3 kHz.

You are correct. And the whole combo sounds pure, zero colored added and very musical.

I'll have to admit I don't follow the "science" of speaker designs so those answers are over my head. Typically, I'll buy by my ears and the quality of the gear.

Anyway, I'll look for reviews online whenever I'm actually ready to purchase a pair. It was more curiosity at this point, so thanks.

I reconstructed my station a bit and wanted to share so here we go.

There is some new hardware in the chain a shiit Valhalla 2 with GL 6922 and EH 6CG7 Tubes :) and a Echo Show that controls a laptop wich runs
J River Media Center via Panel.

PXL_20231019_105821012.NIGHT.jpg

The new "Storage" area... With my new In Ears Final E5000 (the first one i can wear for longer periods because i get headaches from "normal" iems)

PXL_20231019_102324947.NIGHT.jpg

The analogue backend... still a bitt messy but im in the process to clean this one up a bit.

PXL_20231019_102556306.NIGHT.jpg

and the "hosting an digital processing area" with a Laptop(with Jriver) for Local Flac files (stored on a nas not seen here )which outputs through a SMSL PO 100 Pro and a Wiim Pro for all things Streaming (mostly Tidal) both are connected via Optical Toslink to a Toslink Switch with multiple inputs and one Toslink output wich detects on which of his inputs a signal is played so it switched automaticly to that input. This Setup is neat because i can play whatever and dont need to switch any inputs somewhere :)

Was thinking about ordering that Little Bear switch today - how do you like it? Any noise or issues?

Currently searching for that album, actually....
Good luck on your search. I picked that one up on eBay, came in excellent condition.

Lovely! Is that in a different room - separate from your other gear?
Nope, that's just a different wall. I listen to that turntable when I'm feeling lazy.

😳🤣 … compared to turning on a streamer, or whatever, putting a stylus in the groove is work ! 😵‍💫🤣

LOL, no the AT is automatic, and I don't have to watch for the end of the record. My Pioneer doesn't have auto return, and I have to keep an eye on it.
