I’ve always believed there’s a SQ point with DAP’s released in the last two years that when you reach that certain SQ level .. then you decide to spend much more , but the SQ improvement jump becomes less and less , despite MUCH greater expense .
For me the M5s was still below the optimum point . This new M6 hits that SQ point .. it’s a substantial step forward across all the sound variables . I was enjoying it with the new Shanling ME700 IEM’s and they complimented each other really really well . I even got to listen to the new trial DX220 Max on the IBasso stand next door ... but it was the M6/ME700 pairing that left the impression on me at the end of the day

Current state of M6 and its system:

M6 should go on sale in China in about two weeks. Right now software team is working on smoothing out everything in system and in our app. After Chinese release, software team will be looking into any reported problems.

Unfortunately we have no estimation when we can expect international release. We hope to have M6 released with Google play store available right away.

Currently, M6 is running Android 7.1, But we should be able to update system to Android 9 in the future.

Any Wi-Fi inside?

Supports 2.4G and 5G wifi.

Is the new Shanling music app available to be downloaded from Play Store?

Not at current time.

@Shanling - Will there be only one version of the M6? Will international buyers be able to order the Chinese version without there being any difference with the international version you will subsequently release?

330 mW @ 32 ohms. Is it enough to drive a helmet ou ciem correctly? Fiio M11 @550 mW
What is the sensitivity of your helmet ou ciem?

Typical IEMs are over 100 dB/mW. So are many modern headphones. That's already loud for a mere 1mW! 64mW would get such an IEM to the threshold of pain and permanent hearing damage if it were capable. There are some less sensitive designs out there though so what are you using?

Interesting translation. I assume helmet = casques = headphone.

Not sure at this time.

@Shanling It will have full DNA transfer?

Our Shanling app supports Wi-fi transfer of files(similar to implementation on M2X/M5s) and server access over UPnP.

But as this is Android system, there are other possibilities.

What is the USB spec? And I don't mean the USB-C connector.

USB DAC function is not fully implemented yet, so not sure if it will be limited to 24/192 like other our players or will go higher and included DSD.

At 330 mW, you can "reasonably" run even demanding home headphones, Custom IEMs normally demand much lower power.

Sorry for my very bad English :) headphone of course :) the sensitivity of my headphone and my ciem is 32 ohms
32 ohms is the impedance.

Sensitivity is a different thing and is mostly measured in dB/mW, sometimes dB/V.
