@Shanling the UP4 has also been announced without MSRP. Could we at least have a rough estimated price please? Would be nice to know cause I myself and many others here (I'm sure) have been considering the Fiio BTR5.
P.S. wrong thread - i have since posted in the Shanling UP4 thread.

Those specs leave rather a lot to be desired. Specifically may we know:

1) Does it have any microSD slots and what capacity?
2) What type of amplifier is included?
3) Output impedance?
4) Signal To Noise Ratio, single ended and balanced?
5) Stereo Crosstalk/Separation, single ended and balanced?
6) What digital filters are available and are they universal or just in the Shanling app?
7) What is the resolution of the display?
8) Any EQ and is it universal or just in the Shanling app?
9) USB type, USB DAC mode, USB output mode?
10) SPDIF output?
11) Browse by Composer, Album Artist?
12) Proper browse by Genre>AlbumArtist>Album>Songs, not Genre>Songs?

Not that any of this matters because, as usual, the battery life is not good enough to justify the price of this device.

1) Single Micro SD card slot, compatible up to standard 2TB.
2-5) Will be posted in full specification later.
6) 4 filters as designed by AKM. Can be changed in system setting, not tied to Shanling app.
7) 1208 x 720
8) Shanling app has build in EQ. As we are now on Android, you are free to install any additional EQ app.
9) USB-C, USB DAC and USB output will be added little bit later with firmware update.
10) No SPDIF.
11-12) Not final version of app yet. And as sad above, you can install any app you wish.

You're missing the big picture here, the DAP has a great CPU a crapload of ram and a good DAC. Granted they won't mess anything too badly that's quite a neat package for $500.
Will complement my hiby R6 just right

I am guessing the Bluetooth 4.2 is the hardware limit to the Qualcomm SoC used?

Comparison between 425 and 430. I can't wait to get a dap with one of these processors so I can start gaming, or maybe just buy a new(old) smartphone with one of these processors ...:beerchug:

On a serious note, this dap does not have much power. It will drive iems and portable headphones but not much more.
