Shanling M3X Portable Player - Our smallest Android Player

As we know, the Shanling app can be buggy, so I've been experimenting with other apps. I'm thinking of trying UAPP. Question to anyone who has tried it: what's the best way to buy and install it? Directly through the player, or by transferring by PC? I haven't paid for any music player apps before, so not sure about the best/ safest way to do it. Thanks for any advice.

I just downloaded it from the play store and installed. You can try out the trial version first and if you like it then you buy it in play store and install.
No need to connect to laptop and install.

The full, paid version is only available through the Google Play Store.

This works better then I expected. The DAP is meant to be paired with warm headphones and smooth treble of M3X takes some edge of Z1R. Nice combo to work with at home at low volume.

@Shanling - I have started facing an issue with my m3x where it has stopped charging. When I plug in the USB-C for charging, it starts charging for 1 second (red charging light comes up) and then no charging (red light goes off).

Tried hard reset, nothing is helping

What are you charging with? I find mine did that if I tried to use my phone charger, but an anker plug qc 3.0 works fine.

Thanks for response! As of now I only have my phone charger with me (and it used to work). Will see if I can get additional charger

5v/2A should work fine.

Same issue if I use my huawei phone charger but others work fine.

Its 5v 2a/4.5v 5a Huawei's proprietary supercharge nonsense.
Taught me never to assume a mobile usb-a charger was universal.

Yes, please try different charger or USB port on PC, that way we can see if the issue is in charger/cable or on M3X.

So true they sound good out of warm set as they are tuned with neutral tonality so thin sounding will sound thin out of it like JVC FDX01
