Well, which form of DSD? Do you have it as separate .dsf file? Or do you have it as ISO file, in which case is it DST by any chance? DST is not supported by our system due to to high demands on processing power.
Thank you for the support on Facebook!

5. Other bug fixes

Hi,

Thanks for the new firmware.

1. Have the issues with the large volume change while using the equalizer been resolved?

2. Was there any change of themes with the new firmware, compared to the last one? Specifically I'm wondering if the nice clean theme #2 has been restored, the one that was included 2 firmwares ago and before, but was cut from the last firmware.

Thanks!!

@Shanling
Would it be possible to let us choose folder sorting (by name/by date)? Currently we're stuck to alphabetical order.

Will check if it would be possible.

1. EQ system was adjusted further, you can test it out if it works now better for you.
2. Now M2X has access to 7 themes, all we made for MTouch.

Can anyone recommend totally wireless earphones that pair well with the M2x? I would like to find an affordable/budget pair (<$50-60) that has good sound quality (not bass heavy) and that can reach really good volume levels with the M2x. Thanks.

Does the Tidal app support Tidal HIFI or just the standard version?

Tidal in MTouch support Tidal Hi-Fi level. From firmware V2.5, there is switch for quality levels, older versions used Hi-Fi level as default.

Hi all, m2x owner here since it came out last year. One thing that has pestered me:

when listening with my airpods, the volume is very low. I'm required to dial it up into the 90s. The only other bluetooth headphones I have are the beats studio 3, and they are okay (but that may be because they can amplify internally).

so how do you all resolve low bluetooth volume? has this been an issue with how apple bluetooth plays with non-apple products?

thanks in advance

@ayres, thanks for your post. I had a similar problem with TWS earbuds. I have tried to use Haylou GT1 plus with my M2X, but I can't get enough volume to make them usable. The Hayou's work great with my son's iphone and the sound is quite good. I am hoping to find some TWS earbuds that match well with the M2X, but I'm not going to buy another pair until I have some indication that the volume will be loud enough to enjoy. I wonder if Shanling can do something with a firmware upgrade to boost the volume for wireless earbuds? Maybe we'll get lucky and our Shanling sponsor can look into our posts and come up with a real solution...

Just to add a little more info... I have my m2x set to aac. so it should match Apple's AirPods.

I'm hardly the query master, but I haven't seen any bluetooth low volume posts in this thread (been a while since I searched, though). And that surprises me. I'd really like to hear from others, as well as hear from Shanling about this technical issue and how prevalent it is.

Of course, wired headphones sound great out of the m2x... no issues there. It's just that when I'm commuting or moving around the house doing chores, not dealing with a wire and an attached m2x is ideal (cough cough, nudge, nudge... there's NO m2x case with a clip!)

@ayres, if you'll look back at post #506 in this thread, you can see my original comments re: poor volume level using the Haylou GT 1 plus TWS earbuds with the M2X; and then Shanling's response in post #510. I still hope to find a good pair of TWS earbuds (that I can afford) that reach proper volume levels with the M2X. I also asked for input on post #546 from anyone who might recommend a good TWS IEM for the M2X, but no response yet (except for your info on the beats). I guess there are not a lot of people in this forum that use TWS earbuds with the M2X....Maybe with a bit of luck, Shanling can do something to help us out here.

This is unfortunately common problem with Airpods.
Only thing I can recommend:
- Connect them to iPhone, set them to max and disconnect. Reconnect to M0 and see if it got better?
- Perform factory reset on Airpods and try to pair them with M2X as first device.

So far we are seeing these problems in majority of cases with Apple airpods, other brands seems to behave correctly. But we are looking into some added feature for Bluetooth, that would fix this.

Honestly, TWS market is sometimes mess, specially when we are dealing with TWS form different generations. For some time, we had opposite problem, people reporting that even at setting 1-2 our of 100 they were too loud.

@Shanling, I have to admit that when I thought my Haylou GT1 plus TWS earbuds would not work well with the M2X due to low volume issues, I gave the earbuds to my son who has an iPhone. I had given them away before I got your recommendations re: turning the volume all the way up on the iPhone while connected to the earbuds and then try them again with the M2X. I haven't been able to try this fix before today, because my son had the earbuds. He came over today for a visit and had his iPhone and the earbuds with him. I had him follow your directions and then tried the earbuds out on the M2X; this worked great and now there is plenty of volume to make them not only usable, but completely enjoyable! Now, I have to order myself another pair of GT1 plus, since my son likes them so much, he won't give them up. This is not all bad, because I was able to order another pair on sale for only $19.99. Thanks again for your advice.
