Xduoo X2 claims 250mw@32ohms.

That's one of the biggest lies ever.

A few measured the real output power: http://headphoniaks.com/blog/comparativa-xduoo-x2-fiio-x1-sansa-clip/2/ or http://headflux.de/vergleich-clip-zip-m3-x2/ and a few other has similar results.

It has ~ 37-40 mW @ 32 ohms, 250 mW that's a really bad joke, especially looking into the battery life and comparing to serious vendors like FiiO with their M3.

Btw. he asked about the same compact dimensions not longer devices, the AK Jr. is out of this comparison.

Yep, I do agree with x2, sounds more realistic. So we get there some average level of ampliication in small devices.
AK Jr is still thinner a lot. So I believe the total internal volume is comparable.
I consider thinner DAPs to be more comfortable to deal with, because it is more comfortable to carry such dap in a pocket.
If you think, that longer and thinner devices are in a different league, then ok :)
No iffence. I haven't meant to harm anyone's feelings. Peace :)

AK Jr. I believe it is same in width, twice longer, but twice thinner. It has 1.95 Vrms.
Xduoo X2 claims 250mw@32ohms.
35mw@32ohms is rather usual (with fiio m3, for example, in that field)

Believe me, the M1 is smaller than the JR, thickness is not really important here. The X2 is clearly not that powerful.

The first two are not it, but pictures of the SMSL M9 : https://plus.google.com/110537124145013131490/posts/THEmLmwFYje

The second one is just a bad photoshop of a M1 on the SMSL M9.

aptX provides a lossless ADPCM coded stereo 16bit 44kHz (up to 24bit 96kHz, but not for BT) stream over Bluetooth. The DAC in the mobile device generates the audio stream, then its encoded and transfered to the other side. There is compression going on, but not of the lossy kind - the stream appears 1:1 on the other side after unpacking.
Thanks. What about iPhone to M1. IPhone obviously no not support apt-x
