Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

Guys I have a question about bluetooth. I hope this thread can answer and shed light in M1 functionality.

It can play audio transmitted by bluetooth right? Like from phone to M1. So how's the standard 4.0 works. If I play mp3 320kbps will it recompress the mp3? Or it will simply streaming it? How about Tidal or Spotify streams?

Tq

aptX provides a lossless ADPCM coded stereo 16bit 44kHz (up to 24bit 96kHz, but not for BT) stream over Bluetooth. The DAC in the mobile device generates the audio stream, then its encoded and transfered to the other side. There is compression going on, but not of the lossy kind - the stream appears 1:1 on the other side after unpacking.

Guys, I posted impressions a few pages ago. Don't be lazy.

"this little thing is great." ?

Do you need more for your IEMs or portable headphones? I doubt you want to drive a Hifiman HE-6 on it. I don't believe really. Even a IEM like the good old legend Etymotic ER4S with 100 ohms and 90dB sensitivity I can drive them quite easy loud ony a regular mobile phone with less power output than the M1 has. Or other extreme example is the Etymotic EK5 with 300 ohms at 76 dB sensitivity, this also works on a source with quite good loudness with a rated power input of 0,2 Vrms. This tiny box would not help anyone to have like 300 mW @ 32 ohms output power if the battery finally lasts only for 4 hours since more draining battery effect.

This power may be enough, but is not extrordinaty.
60-100mW@32 ohms and 2Vrms would be way better :)
There are some tiny daps with such amps.
But this piece is interesting because of dac and usb out.
It's just funny to see that ad says about amp-ing.

Show me a DAP with the same size and much more driving power please.

AK Jr. I believe it is same in width, twice longer, but twice thinner. It has 1.95 Vrms.
Xduoo X2 claims 250mw@32ohms.
35mw@32ohms is rather usual (with fiio m3, for example, in that field)
