Sennheiser RS220 Availability?

I have good news and i have bad news:
the bad news: the rs220 seems to drain the batteries even when off.
the good news: I charged batteries using the rs180, then put them in the rs220, and have been listening to music for almost 2 hours now.

EDIT: at 2 hours and 1 minute it shut down. what i now want to figure out, is if this had to do with me switching from an analogue source to a digital (coax) one.

Sounds pretty much like bad news all around... the would mean pulling the batteries out every time and recharging them outside of the headphones and then replacing when in use. Crazy!!!

Having to choose between a used pair of RS 220's or a new pair of RS 185, which would you guys choose? Both good condition and same price. Is the quality of the 220 that much better? Does the signal drop more on the 220? Using for guitar, piano, gaming, music, movies.

My observation is that it depends on external factors. RS220 use WiFi like 2.4 GHz band sharing alghoritm with neighbouring Wireless Access Points. If there are only few around and well behaved there are no dropouts. In built up areas and when older WAPs are in the vacinity RS220 definitevely has issues with signal continuity.

I don't understand why everyone is still sure that these headphones have HD650 drivers.
