Thanks, that makes sense now that you mention it. I guess I should go with wired headphones.
Hi Rosmadi,
Hope you can assist.
I just bought from AMAZON.de the RS180
You mentioned in the earlier advice that the Bandwidth of 2400 - 2483.5 Mhz is for RS160/170/180
Can you urgently advice if the RS180 I just bought today 17th August 2013 from Amazon Germany can be used in Singapore. And if I can't use it in Singapore what can be done about it .
Would really appreciate you prompt response .
Thank you very much.

TheDeliveryMan, i just noticed you are a Senn rep. Can you tell me how to make it so the transmitter stops going "to sleep" when the headphones are shut off?! It is driving me crazy. I just want to keep it on.... Any way this issue could be addressed? Maybe a special combination of button presses could override this device behavior?
Anyway, on to my question...I can no longer pump the same volume through the base station as I used to be ablde to. It's flashing red and clipping at a much lower volume than it used to. It's still loud, but not quite loud enough. I'm running them from a PC into a Yamaha AMP, thenout of the AMP's headphone port into the vase station. Windows is set to pass through the audio untouched to the amp (I'm mostly using DTS/AC3 tracks).
Any tips? Has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry if this has already been answered but it seems like a big concern if the trasmitter really does this. I was going to purchase the RS 180 but I won't if this is truly the case. Can anyone confirm?
Many thanks!
Hi smokyjoe,
Normally, we'd recommend to listen at moderate levels so that you won't get the clipping at all. I won't comment on your amp but does it help if you remove it from your setup? Do you still get the same issue?
I never used to get anywhere near the volume required for clipping, but something had happened. To be certain, I've tried combinations of:
1. Windows PC, various software
2. Linux PC, XBMC
3. iPhone
All 3, I've tried running:
1. Through Yamaha amp
2. Through Fiio headphone amp
3. Direct from source.
I still cannot get a decent volume without clipping.flashing red. Any ideas?

Hi smokyjoe,
I'm not sure if we can offer a solution for this issue without inspecting your unit. Could you send it to be checked at the nearest Sennheiser service centre?
Hi Rosmadi,
I just bought the RS 180 from aSaving (thru Amazon.com) last week, not sure if this is a authorized retailer (Is there a way to check?). The headphone is amazing!
Today I opened the ear pads (to change battery) and one of the plastic clips of the left ear pad was broken. It's too fragile, I turned the ear pad very slow and gentle.
Is it covered by the warranty? How do I contact Sennheiser for warranty?
Thanks,
dnguyen
