I don’t know if it’s a miracle ...

I shall tell you a story. A friend of mine listened to my IE 800 S (which I'm using with an AK Norma) few weeks ago, and he just couldn't belive his ears. He moved out of his ears the earphones, because he thought I've turned on the desktop hi-fi, and what he was hearing that sounds from the big speakers... Than he was really surprised... He said: It's unbelievable that this damned good sound comes from this little crap! Lol

Anyone listen with these IEM's and metal music? I have the Mest MKII and think they're great for metal. How are the IE900's?
Yes I do. I don't own another iem that is as versatile as the ie900. To me it sounds very good to excellent with every type of music I listen to on it.

Edit:

Buy ie900, listen to System Of A Down - Chop Suey

N6ii->R01->ie900, no other word for it other than awesome.

Can you check the vocal performance with songs like "The Shieldmaiden" or "Kings" from "Frozen Crown, pls? :)
Highly interested in the abilities of the ie900 for Italian powermetal.

Thank you

I dont listen to too much of metal but i own Mest mkII and had plenty of time with ie900.

Honestly they both shine in their own way.
Ie900 has a tough more energetic treble and more prominent bass vocal and bass gutars will be denser. While Mest will have upper hand in female vocals and sheer technical abitily imaging and space.
Personally i thing meatier sounding ie900 would be my choice for metal even if a cost of holographic soundstage and upper mids presence.
But for my use case i went with Mest mkII just for superior technicalities.

They do compliment each other well if you can keep both though

What tips have you settled on? After trying what I had around. I noticed today the ie900 can have a step more holographic presentation if you forgoe the official eartip w/ acoustic filters and use Azla SednaEarfit Light tips. (normal version, not the short version).

Of course not to the level of a multi-driver iem. But it was a significant improvement in the mids 3d presentation.
