Well I mean not to derail but still that punch and slam is still limited to the sides of the head, and could wind up sounding a bit bloated and boomy when paired with the subpac. And it would too since the th900 (and ie900) are both closed backs. Closed backs do not play well with the subpac at all. And while the punch is good from it, it's a heavyweight fighting in a lightweight divison comparing the amount of punch each can give. I recommend an open back that hits hard with the pac, that way you won't actually hear the noise effect the pac has on a closed back as it shakes the earcups or buds.
Admit to be intrigued by the idea… an exosqueleton to lesson music.. but hence living the simple nomad gear package I was looking for with iem? I have a high end 54cm subwoofer since a year and could never turn it off .. may be the subpac can produce the same result? Very curious
So far I am finding that the large Final Audio E Series tips are working best for my sound preferences....they just give a little more oomph in general to the bass, without sacrificing the treble to an alarming degree.
Just got the 2-pin to IE900’s MMCX adapter, and now I’m able to use this cable. It has really elevated the sound to an incredible level. Together with R8, it’s one of the best combo I’ve ever heard in IEM world.

Wow! That’s some high praise especially coming from you I’ll need to try cable rolling again… I see Erlky has gone from your sig so IE900 really did usurp the king?!

Yep it’s gone to a lucky new owner with what I’m hearing, I’d be perfectly happy to just have IE900 and i4 as TOTL IEMs. In many ways, I really prefer IE900 sound compared to Erlky. The bass is much better in terms of control, and it goes down lower than Erlky. With the 8-wire Silvergarde and Symbio W tips, the highs on IE900 are tamed a bit (but still very extended and airy, it’s more “real“ sounding to my ears), and mids are brought more forward (with stock cable it can sound a bit “hollow”).
Somebody in this thread provided a link a few weeks ago, it’s from an online store in Hongkong. It took a while to be delivered, around 4 weeks I think, but they do work without a glitch. I also bought the normal MMCX to IE900 adapter from the same online store.
Edit @gLer :
here’s the link for 2-pin to IE900 https://www.headphone.com.hk/product-category/accessories/adapter/cm-2-pin-母-ie-900-公/

Currently own 1695ti a single DD iem from Acoustune, but looking for an upgrade. On the verge of ordering Softears Turi when read this thread. Their price seems in the same range. So it would be nice to know how IE900 compare to Turii.

I’m waaaaaaiiiiinnnnng for my ie 900 and planned to go for a TURII also (and as I’m the perfect fish for the bait - waiting for the titanium announcement.. just in case).. what I totally arbitraly and subjectively expect is a high mid difference treatment from few feedbacks
If you ever feel like reviews on Amazon are just too good to be true, check out https://www.fakespot.com/ for single-item analysis of its reviews. Some products have a lot of BS reviews.
The first minute of the first track off this album will tell you everything you need to know about the capabilities of the IE900, from the deepest visceral lows to brightest sparkling highs, life-like vocal reproduction, tactile stage size and depth, and extreme detail retrieval. Exceptional.

Wow...you weren't kidding!! This is just, a total showpiece for the IE 900's. Thank you for sharing, and thanks for introducing me to this artist/album. I'm really digging it.
