Does anyone know if these Linsoul 2-pin to MMCX adapters work with the IE 900?
Good job, I think you nailed it. Basically exactly as I hear it.My very early impressions of my new ie900 over short listening sessions (I am not an audio expert btw)
The key values of this iem from my perspective: outstanding bass, and a very natural and coherent sound. Mind you that this is not a analytical iem. Nor do I think the tuning is balanced. Mids are very relaxed.
I really love it so far, much better than the undynamic incoherent thieaudio monarch (which I do not like)
What kind of music are you guys experiencing sybilance with?Same with the IE300 & IE100 Pro. Hence my move to Shures. So far so good.
I think part of the problem is people drop so much wonga on a product they want to love for other reasons that they'll dismiss some obvious flaws.
If it happens, and it's extremely rare for me, only with poorly recorded female vocals. What kind of music are you guys experiencing sybilance with?
I'd really like to help you but I just don't hear any with ie900. I even Googled for tracks with sibilance. One suggested track is Sara Bareilles - Come Round Soon. I agree its a "hot" track with ie900 but the s's stop at ss for me and don't go onto the full ssssssssssWhat kind of music are you guys experiencing sybilance with?
Also, both source and tips can and do affect sibilance perception. My Sabre-DAC LG V30+ is more prone to hotness than the HiBy R8 AK4497 DAP, for example.I'd really like to help you but I just don't hear any with ie900. I even Googled for tracks with sibilance. Kinda obscure, but this is the only recording that gets a little hot for me (esp. in cymbals and high-hats):What kind of music are you guys experiencing sybilance with?
Weird cause in my opinion the Xelento gave bass but not a lot of it. In a way it lacked bass. What were your tracks with the bass you liked ?Guys, get a proper custom cable. Microphonics is completely gone!
I got Effect Audio Ares II with ConX termination and just love it. Also memory wire is more comfortable.
Also compared IE900 side by side with Xelento from Xperia 1ii phone. Oh man how different are they. After IE900 you have a feeling that Xelentos don't reproduce high frequencies at allBut man I love that Xelento bass and fit....
Amazing track to do some comparisons:

If I would need to decide between both I would definitely go for IE900 feels more natural and sparkling
What's your take on the sound differences between the Ares and stock cable, if any? I'm one of those that isn't really bothered by the microphonics on the stock cable.Guys, get a proper custom cable. Microphonics is completely gone!

Well it's been a while since I've used either to properly remember. I do recall Momus being very "essy" but I do appreciate his recordings are a touch on the hotter side. Hen Ogledd also on occasions. The IE300 was definitely a bit worse for me than the IE100 Pro's but then they probably are more elevated in that region. I'm quite sensitive to it anyway. What kind of music are you guys experiencing sybilance with?
No, why should there be any difference? This is just a cable. I know that there people obsessed with nunances that are introduced by different cables but I personally: 1) generally I don't believe in this if there is no measurable effect/impact; 2) impedance combination between source and IEM needs to be very weird to get any audible impact from cable change. This was a case with Campfire Solaris but Campfire IEMs are very sensitive in general. I believe that IE900 are very stable in terms of sensitivity with 16 ohm impedance. What's your take on the sound differences between the Ares and stock cable, if any? Pretty much every trackWeird cause in my opinion the Xelento gave bass but not a lot of it. In a way it lacked bass. What were your tracks with the bass you liked ?
Yes that's true 100%! is similar to the Ultrasone IQ. Only with the perfect tips (with some IQ owners Triple Ear Tips have worked wonders) you also get the great bass and NO hissing SSS sounds. I bought a second pair of IQs for € 140! In my opinion, the IQ also plays in the € 1000 league - with the RIGHT tips. Perhaps there will soon be an opportunity to compare with the IE900.Pretty much every trackXelento has a lot of bass, check your tips fit and isolation.
