I can't help but feel that's a huge exaggeration. HD 600 straight out of an iPod probably don't even sound that bad. Why do you have to blow things out of proportion?

It's not an exaggeration; I was being kind. It's one of the single worst sounding audio components that I've heard supposedly aimed at an audiophile market. Has it occurred to you that we have a completely different point of reference, not to mention listening experience? It's cheap. Great.

I'd always recommend the Matrix M stage for the all the top Senn's for a first amp. It's very good for the money - especially after a little fine tuning with op amps (personal choice involved).
 
My favorite hp amp that I've used with HD600/650 is the old X Can V3 (with tubes of choice). Brilliant soundstage and depth but it is a little bright at the top so it depends if this is a sound you want.

ive never heard an O2 hater exaggerate so much before. I Think I prefer it exaggerated because that way I know not to take any notice of your posts about anything. It shows me your opinion can't be trusted .

I'm certainly not going to lie about what I heard just to please any forum member(s). Heh, you should hear what I think about the Modi.

I never really liked the O2 much, I found it was lacking dynamic range when I heard it. I haven't heard the Modi though, I went the HRT route DAC wise. What's your opinion of the Modi?
